1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup melted butter
Two egg whites
1 cup white sugar
2 cups sliced strawberries
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 cup heavy cream
The oven should be preheated to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a saucepan, mix salt, flour, and sugar. Stir in milk gradually.
Cook over medium heat while constantly stirring until the sauce boils and thickens. After two more minutes of cooking and stirring, turn off the heat.
Whisk some hot milk mixture into the egg yolks in a medium bowl until smooth. Then, gradually whisk the egg yolk mixture into the saucepan.
For an additional 2 minutes, cook with constant stirring over medium-low heat. Add vanilla and butter after removing from the heat.
Sliced bananas should fill the pastry shell; the pudding mixture should be poured on top to cover.
Bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the filling is set. Before serving, chill the pie for one hour.
