Ready in about 20 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

A pinch of ground cinnamon

1/4 cup butter, cut into cubes

A pinch of salt

1/2 cup plain flour

1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

1 egg

Chocolate Dip

2 ounces dark chocolate

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Boil the water in a saucepan over medium-high heat; now, add the butter, sugar, cinnamon, salt and lemon zest; cook until the sugar has dissolved. Next, remove the pan from the heat. Gradually stir in the flour, whisking continuously until the mixture forms a ball; let it cool slightly.

Fold in the egg and continue to beat using an electric mixer until everything comes together. Pour the dough into a piping bag with a large star tip. Squeeze 4-inch strips of dough into the greased Air Fryer pan.

Cook your churros at 380 degrees F for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. In the meantime, melt the chocolate and milk in a saucepan over low heat.

Add in the cinnamon and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.

Serve: the warm churros with the chocolate dip and enjoy
